These roles are personally assisting somebody to achieve their goals, gain independence and/or manage their daily lives; These will be self-funded by the family or person, or they may receive a Direct payment from Cornwall council. *
Location: Pensilva, Liskeard
Young gentleman with a learning disability seeks a personal assistant to support him in the community.
Support required:
· Commuting to work
· Support with going to doctors/dentist/bank appointments
· Social activities e.g. swimming and fishing
Hourly rate of pay: £12 + mileage
Hours per week: Up to 12 hours
Working schedule: Monday – Fridays + bank holidays
9/10am – 12/2pm – can be flexible
Essential:
· Valid DBS
· Driving Licence and own vehicle
· Experience and understanding of working with people with learning disabilities
· Caring and friendly manner
· Good communication skills
· Patience
28 days paid annual leave on an employed basis.
