These roles are personally assisting somebody to achieve their goals, gain independence and/or manage their daily lives; These will be self-funded by the family or person, or they may receive a Direct payment from Cornwall council. *
Location: St Agnes
Middle-aged lady seeks a personal assistant to support and encourage her at home with day-to-day living. She has Functional Neurological Disorder (FND), NEAD seizures, stroke mimics, dysphonia (poor voice and strength & quality), weakness, movement disorder, fatigue, fibromyalgia, M.E, mental health challenges, ADHD, and autism. She sometimes may use walking aids, a powered wheelchair or a mobility scooter when leaving the house.
Support required:
· Admin – paperwork, email organisation, making phone calls, support with filling out applications
· Meal planning and preparation
· General housework
· Decluttering and organisation of the home
· Emptying and cleaning commodes
· Support getting in and out of the shower
Hourly rate of pay: From £14.72 depending on experience
Hours per week: 10 – possibility to increase
Working schedule:
Mondays – 10am – 1pm
Tuesdays – 10am – 1pm
Wednesdays – 10am – 2pm
Essential:
· Must be self-employed
· Public Liability Insurance
· Valid DBS
· Great patience
Desirable:
· Previous experience in a support role
