These roles are personally assisting somebody to achieve their goals, gain independence and/or manage their daily lives; These will be self-funded by the family or person, or they may receive a Direct payment from Cornwall council. *

Location: St Austell
Young, calm and chatty gentleman is looking for a personal assistant to support him on a 1:1 basis. He loves football, food, music, and sports. He has autism, asthma. As a result of a spinal cord stroke, the gentleman is a fulltime wheelchair user and uses a self-propelled wheelchair.
Support required:
· Support at community group at the Eden Project
· Support with making snacks
· Support to take some time out of his chair
· Support with catheter maintenance when needed
Hourly rate of pay: £15
Hours per week: 22.5
Working schedule:
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays: 9am – 2:30pm or 4:30pm
Essential:
· Valid DBS
· Eligibility to work in the UK
· Driving Licence with own vehicle
· Public Liability Insurance
· Must be self-employed
· Flexibility to cover
Desirable:
· Experience working with people with autism
· Experience working with people with disabilities
