These roles are personally assisting somebody to achieve their goals, gain independence and/or manage their daily lives; These will be self-funded by the family or person, or they may receive a Direct payment from Cornwall council. *
Location: Newquay
A lovely young gentleman who is passionate about Xbox gaming, going to the cinema, and caring for his reptiles is seeking support from a Personal Assistant. Your role will be to help motivate this gentleman to go out into the community, befriend him, and build up a trustful relationship to encourage and help him find activities he may enjoy. Getting him out and about, exploring his local community area, and helping him learn where things are and how he gets to them easily. You will help with meal prep and teach him basic skills such as how to cook, and the concept of time and money, ensuring over time his understanding of these topics grows.
Support required:
· Support to access the community
· Understanding of Autism
· Building a trustworthy relationship, befriending
· Meal prep, support with skills with cooking
· Basic life skills understanding
Rate and support hours:
Hourly rate of pay: £12 per hour
Hours per week: 5 hours per week, a potential chance to increase for the right candidate. To be negotiated
Schedule: To be agreed with the client but will need to be flexible
