Job Opportunity: Self-Employed Personal Assistant

Please note: This role is a private arrangement with a person or family seeking support. You will not be employed by Humans Cornwall but will work directly with the individual or their family. This role involves helping someone achieve their goals, maintain independence, and manage daily tasks. The position is funded privately by the family/person or via a Direct Payment from Cornwall Council.

Location: Falmouth

A young lady in Falmouth is seeking a Personal Assistant to support her with personal care, meal preparation, and accessing the community. She enjoys staying active, loves listening to music, watching films, and playing games, and has recently begun additional education classes to develop vocational skills and prepare for employment.

Support Responsibilities:

Meal preparation
Personal care (including washing, dressing, and toileting)
Supporting access to the community
Activity planning
Rate and Hours:

Hourly Rate: £14.72
Hours per Week:
Term Time: 19.5 hours/week
Monday: 7:30 AM – 9:00 AM
Tuesday: 7:30 AM – 9:00 AM
Wednesday: 7:30 AM – 9:00 AM
Thursday: 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Non-Term Time: 37.5 hours/week
Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Half Terms: 19.5 hours/week
Essential Criteria:

Caring and compassionate nature
Eligibility to work in the UK
Public Liability Insurance (if self-employed)
Valid DBS Check
Full Driving License and access to your own car
