Job Opportunity: Self Employed Personal Assistant
Please note: This role is a private arrangement with a person or family seeking support. You will not be employed by Humans Cornwall but will work directly with the individual or their family. The role is funded privately by the family/person or via a Direct Payment from Cornwall Council.
Location: Bodmin (St Kew Highway)
A lady in the St Kew Highway area is looking for an experienced self-employed personal assistant to support her at home and in the community. She enjoys getting out into the community, reading, mediation and spending time with her family.
Support Responsibilities:
· Preparing and cooking evening meals
· Preparing medication for the evening and following day
· General household domestics
· Personal care as and when required during the week
· Social activities, getting out for a walk, visiting family
· Assisting with mobility around the home
· Transporting and accompanying to appointments and social outings
Rate and Hours:
· Hourly Rate: £22.00
· Hours per Week: 15 hours
Schedule:
· Tuesday 17:00 – 20:00
· Wednesday 17:00 – 20:00
· Friday 17:00 – 20:00
· Saturday 17:00 – 20:00
· Sunday 17:00 – 20:00
Essential Criteria:
· Good time management and Communication skills
· Patience and empathy
· Flexibility to cover
· Female carer required
· Eligibility to work in the UK
· Public Liability Insurance (if self-employed)
· Valid DBS Check
· Full Driving License and access to your own car
· 5 years’ experience working in care
· Experience working with dementia and physical disabilities
· Experience working with Parkinson’s
