We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive support worker to join our Community Services team within Corserv Care. Someone with a passion for supporting people to live a fulfilled life.

We offer a wide range of support to the people we support, and as an Outreach Support Worker you will work with individuals encouraging independence, supporting people to access their communities alongside some domestic duties and practical tasks within their homes.

What you’ll be doing:

The role involves supporting individuals with daily tasks within their own homes such as shopping, cleaning, managing finances and accessing their local community.
You will be offering companionship and enabling family to time have a break.
Complying with and maintaining best practice in relation to Health & safety matters and infection control.
Ensuring support is provided as planned to provide the best outcomes for those we support.
Using an innovative approach to positively support Customers to achieve as much independence as they are able to.
Complying with the code of conduct, staff handbook and other Corserv Care policies and procedures in order to promote quality standards, values, beliefs and principles of care that respect Human rights.
Maintaining accurate and factual records as a legal requirement in order to evidence and communicate actions and outcomes effectively to others.
Maintaining safe working practices as a lone worker and alongside others to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of service users, self and others.
Monitoring the health, wellbeing and progress of service users and report any concerns/changes back to management in order to protect and safeguard vulnerable adults
Ensuring a positive and flexible approach to the variety of tasks and work patterns within the role as the service develops to enable effective and appropriate staffing levels to meet demand potentially including working weekends and evenings or early mornings.
Operating in accordance with the diverse needs of the community to ensure equal access to services
Responsible for self and others continuous development and to undertake relevant training as required.
Qualifications/Skills & Knowledge:

Some experience in supporting vulnerable adults in need – either informally or in paid employment.

Some experience of encouraging and motivating others to achieve.

Awareness of physical, emotional and mental health issues affecting vulnerable adults.

Proficient in organising self and others.

Ability to undertake training or relevant qualification to the role.

Basic IT skills to be able to undertake e-learning and keep updated with Organisational information.

Flexibility of working hours – able to participate in the planned shift rotas including early mornings and weekend working.

Full UK Driving Licence and Car.

Pay: £12.00 per hour

Hours: Permanent job with Part Time hours to suit work life balance – 10am -3pm as an example. Weekend work on a rota basis, Guaranteed contracted hours.

Location: You will join either the EAST CORNWALL teams, supporting the people who use our service in your team’s location. Some of the people who use our service will be in close proximity to your home address and some will be in the radius of your team’s area in Cornwall.

Mileage Allowance: 45p per mile. Plus, after probation period of 6 months, you could join our ‘Car Lease Scheme’.

Guaranteed Payment of your Contracted Hours: You are always paid for a full shift, even in the event of a client cancellation.
