At Pentowan Home Care we are looking for community carers to join our amazing team.

Part time position available.
10-24 hours per week.
Part time hours usually consist of alternative weekend = 2 x am shift, 1 or 2 pm shifts every other weekend.
Plus 1am and 1 pm shift during the week ( regular set days)

Full time positions available.
25 – 40 hours per week.
Full time hours usually consist of alternative weekend = 2 x am shift & 1 or 2 pm shifts every other weekend.
Plus 3 am and 2pm shifts during the week ( regular set days)

 

Work patterns can be discussed, flexible weekdays but alternative weekends a must.

Weekend, Bank Staff and Evening Staff positions also available.

Duties vary but will include providing personal care and support to clients in their own homes, shopping, supervision of medication, food/nutritional support, day sitting, escorting to & from appointments.

Hours & shifts vary between the hours of 7am -12pm/2pm & 3.30 – 9.30pm, Monday to Friday and alternative weekends.
Set days off and regular working patterns.

This will be in the Newquay/Crantock/St Columb Minor/Major area.

Full training will be given, care certificate & NVQ training provided.

An enhanced DBS check will be carried out and references will be required.

A car and full driving licence is essential.

Various rates of pay but all paid to above the ‘Real Living Wage Foundation’ minimum rate of pay £12.00 per hour

Mileage paid at 45p per mile

Rate of pay depends on experience/NVQ held, for example NVQ 2 £12.25 AM rate, £12.36 PM rate and £12.58 weekend rate.

Further enhanced NVQ 3 rate.

Mileage and travel time paid.

4 weekly pay, regular hours, pension scheme & permanent position.

Duties:

Supporting and assisting with all personal care requirements
Charting or taking notes for others to review
Providing companionship and supportive listening
Observing and reporting any changes in the health or status of the patient
Preparing meals and feeding patients
Responding to emergency situations
Prompting and administering medication
Accompanying and transporting patients to appointments and/or social events
Facilitating community and recreational outings, including transport
Providing support with hobbies, studies, and social activities

Essential Skills:

Driving Licence and use of transport
