make a real difference and support people with drug and alcohol treatment needs across the
community.

WithYou in Cornwall are part of a large integrated drug and alcohol service working with some of Cornwall’s most excluded and disadvantaged people. Successful candidates will work as part of the Individual Placement and Support Employment Specialist team.

Our IPS (Individual Placement and Support Employment Specialists) team is the driving
force behind empowering individuals from our drug and alcohol support service to overcome
barriers and secure meaningful employment.

Working closely with a diverse range of people, you will be instrumental in delivering the IPS approach (for which training will be given), providing tailored guidance, and building positive relationships with the treatment teams and local employers.

No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious and a good listener is key. You will source job opportunities through creative and personalised job searches and reach out to employers to explore hidden employment
opportunities. You’ll need exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills to stay on
top of a diverse workload and record keeping.

We are actively interested in individuals who have experience using a persuasive communication style or promoting a service to a variety of audiences, this can include marketing, recruitment, education, mentoring, or sales roles.

Essential Skills:

Educated to degree level or with equivalent relevant experience
Sound knowledge of best practice in the provision of addictions and/or
employability and employment services
Ability to develop relationships with multiple stakeholders, including employers, partner agencies, clients and their families/carers.
Working knowledge of a broad range of occupations and jobs
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to deploy effective employer engagement strategies
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
Well-developed IT skills, familiar with Office Suite and Google Workspace
The determination to overcome setbacks, find solutions and continue
advocating for clients, even in the face of challenges
Must be able to work flexibly from different locations in order to deliver the services required
Ability to work flexible and unsocial hours as required
Full UK driving licence and access to a car
