While prior experience in care is advantageous, it is not essential. We prioritize candidates who share our core values. Comprehensive training will be provided to the suitable candidates, ensuring they acquire the skills and competencies necessary to deliver our service users the highest standard of care.
Please note that this position requires an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references, and the successful completion of mandatory training.
Our ideal candidate:Duties are diverse and include but are not limited to;
Assisting with all aspects of personal care including showering/strip washing/bathing, oral care, grooming and getting dressing.
Assisting with managing all toileting and continence needs, including changing pads and skin integrity management.
Preparing meals, drinks, and snacks and serving them at the appropriate times.
Assisting with feeding and ensuring adequate food and drink intake.
Assisting with medication (once competence tested)
Assisting with planning and shopping.
Completing light house duties.
Supporting visits to other health professionals, e.g., Hospitals and GPs.
Providing emotional support by listening and talking to service users as an important part of delivering support and care. Participating in fun activities - watching films, card games
Accompanying on trips and holidays
A valid driving licence and access to own car.
