Due to expansion we require care support workers to join our EAST CORNWALL team. We would like to talk to you about our full time and part time opportunities and if possible to meet you at one of our recruitment open days.

TORPOINT Thursday 12th September 2024 10am to 2pm. Location, Corserv Care, Conference Room, Discovery Court Hooper Street Torpoint PL11 2AG.

LAUNCESTON Tuesday 17th September 2024 9:30am to 12:30pm. Location, Job Centre, Tower Street, Launceston, PL15 8BQ.

CALLINGTON Thursday 19th September 2024 11.30AM-3PM. Location, Callington Town Hall, The Town Hall, New Road, Callington, PL17 7BE

Your Job as a Support Worker for the EAST CORNWALL TEAM

What you’ll be doing:

Supporting service users in their own homes with their daily living skills. Including personal care, meal preparation & housekeeping.
Supporting service users to access community opportunities.
Working with families, healthcare professionals and occupational therapists.
You must have a FULL DRIVING LICENCE that’s valid to drive in the UK and a VEHICLE.
Corserv Care offer certificates of sponsorship to skilled overseas care workers.

Your benefits at Corserv Care:

Competitive Rates of Pay : £12.36 per hour

Time & half enhancement on Bank Holiday’s, PLUS a day back in TOIL.

Time & half for overtime, over 40 hours.

Guaranteed weekly hours from 14 up to 36 hours per week.

Permanent hours available.

Guaranteed Payment of your Contracted Hours: You are always paid for a full shift, even in the event of a client cancellation. This includes travel, and contact time, for a consistent and worry-free salary.

Mileage Allowance: 45p per mile. Plus, after probation period of 6 months, you could join our ‘Car Lease Scheme’.

Annual Leave: 31 days, rising to 36 days after 5 years’ service (including Bank Holidays). This is pro-rata for part time working patterns. Option to buy extra leave.

Your development : full training and continuous development provided, job shadowing, team support, 1:1 supervisions and annual appraisals, opportunity to achieve qualifications.

Shift Pattern: We are ideally looking for carers that can be very flexible to our service needs at this time. All rounds start at 7:00 – 14:00, the evening rounds start at 16:00 and finish at the latest 22:00 and working every other weekend is mandatory. You will have a regular two week rota, Week A/Week B rolling rota to help promote a healthy work-life balance, and for ease of mind.

Wellbeing Events

Locations: You will join the EAST CORNWALL team and support our clients in the East areas of Cornwall. Some clients will be in close proximity to your home location and some you will need to travel to. We have requirements to provide care in Looe, Polperro, Torpoint, Liskeard, Saltash, Callington and Launceston. We will discuss how the team covers the areas at interview.

Essential Skills:

You must have a FULL DRIVING LICENCE that’s valid to drive in the UK and a vehicle
