You will not be employed by or carry out work for Humans Cornwall; we have a dedicated team to help identify private personal assistants for care and support. These roles are personally assisting somebody to achieve their goals, gain independence and/or manage their daily lives; These will be self-funded by the family or person, or they may receive a Direct payment from Cornwall council. *
Location: Newquay
A young gentleman in Newquay is looking for short term 5 weeks cover between 5th March and 8th April. Needs to be a car driver as support needed to assist with a 21-year-old with Downs Syndrome and Learning Disabilities. Personal care needed and being able to assist with regular incontinence.
Support required:
· Support to access work internship x3 weekly
· Personal care support and incontinence care
Rate and support hours:
Hourly rate of pay: £16.00
Hours per week: 21 hours per week
Schedule: Support needed between 9am and 4pm Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Essential criteria:
· Sense of humour, ability to be strong and firm
· Eligibility to work in the UK
. Public Liability Insurance (self-employed only)
. Valid DBS Check
. Valid Driving License and access to your own car
