Summary of Position

This role involves efficiently managing the day-to-day operations of a care business, overseeing the care staff team, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe home care services. The position requires strong leadership to guide the team, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards, while maintaining the organisation’s values and policies.

Key Responsibilities

Lead by example, promoting professionalism and high performance within the team.
Ensure care services comply with national standards (CQC) and maintain a high standard of care.
Oversee customer assessments, staffing, recruitment, training, and ongoing staff development.
Manage care staff performance and address issues to ensure service consistency.
Implement quality management systems and conduct audits to ensure service standards.
Maintain accurate, secure records and apply health and safety standards.
Participate in on-call duties and respond to emergencies as required.
Support business growth through recruitment, PR, and promotional activities.
Collaborate with the Business Manager to meet performance targets and manage finances.
Person Specification

Essential:

Compassionate, with at least 3 years’ experience in health & social care management.
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance.
Leadership qualification (L5 Diploma or equivalent).
Excellent IT, communication, and leadership skills.
Flexible, with the ability to work outside normal hours and handle emergencies.
Full driving licence and ability to travel for work.

Desirable:

Previous regulator registration, business development experience, and training qualifications.

Caring and compassionate towards people in need of care and support with excellent understanding and experience of the sector, with a minimum of three years as a Manager within a Health & Social Care setting

Essential Skills:

L5 Diploma or equivalent in Leadership and Management, Full driving licence – no more than 6 points and access to a vehicle for work
