Support Role (contracted hours) – Supported Living Service

To work alongside the people we support enabling them to realise their potential in line with their personal plan.

To work as part of a team to provide a high-quality service which promotes the achievement of agreed outcomes for the people we support.

We are currently looking for full time Support Workers, 37.5 hours per week to join our growing teams at Stirling House, Mansell House and Jenson House.

You’ll join our teams working in supported living houses close to Camborne/Redruth train station, helping people to learn new skills and live their lives in the way they choose.

You will be required to provide active support in all aspects of daily living; from cleaning, cooking and shopping to managing finances. In addition, you will support people at times with their personal care and medication.
You must be committed to supporting social inclusion and promote involvement in the local community through active support with health, leisure and social opportunities.
You’ll need to demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills and a positive, outgoing ‘can-do’ approach.

Essential Skills:

Willingness to train and achieve Care Certificate.
Willingness to train and achieve QCF in line with regulation.
Willingness to support with the development of a range of independent living skills including, food preparation and cooking, shopping, cleaning, laundry.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and to observe and record factual information.
Willingness to take part in a wide range of community-based leisure and exercise activities with the People we Support as detailed within personal plans.
Flexibility to work irregular hours e.g. early mornings, evenings, weekends and nights (including sleep-ins).
