Our Mission
Our mission is to provide enriching day care for people living with dementia and the challenges of older age. Through meaningful, social days out in a welcoming home setting, we are dedicated to harnessing the therapeutic power of friendship. We strive to show that life can be joyful and expansive at any stage.
The Filo Project
The Filo Project is a not-for-profit enterprise offering high quality, small group day care for older people. Small groups give time and space for people to feel at ease and form friendships.
The Filo Project started in Devon in 2014. The popularity of our model of care has seen continued expansion since and we are now operating in Devon, Torbay, Somerset, Cornwall and East Lancashire.
Our service is primarily for those who are socially isolated and may also be experiencing symptoms associated with early to moderate dementia including memory loss. Our aim is to provide a socially stimulating environment where our clients feel valued and at ease.
This is an exciting time to be joining The Filo Project as we move into new areas, extending our vital support and helping more people to live well with dementia.
