About our Service

The work will involve offering daily support to 2 ladies, across 2 properties  which can include support with shopping, budgeting, decision making, support with general day to day activities and inclusion in the community.

Each day is different, you may be supporting with meal planning, arts and crafts, days out, visiting family or shopping trips. Both ladies have very different personalities, likes and dislikes so no day will be the same.
This role will suit an outgoing person who is committed to supporting and encouraging people to achieve their best. You should be motivated to look for opportunities and ways of working with people which can give new experiences and introduce them to new and exciting things.

As a Support Worker, flexibility is key for both yourself and for the service, you may be required to work a variety of different shifts throughout the week, including mornings, evenings, sleep ins and weekends.

What does a Support Worker do?

As a Support Worker you will be expected to provide an outstanding level of support that will help to ensure the people we support live a more comfortable, dignified, liberated and happy life.  You will have excellent communication skills and be a naturally caring and patient personality.  Typical responsibilities may include:

Supporting people to live independently – budget management, paying bills, housework, organising appointments and cooking delicious healthy meals.
Excellent communication skills and Relationship building – supporting the people we support to understand the world around them and promoting positive relationships.
Community & Social Inclusion – supporting individuals to access and participate in their local community and social events to promote life skills and individuality.
Personal care – helping people to get ready for the day.  This may include prompting the people we support to take their medication and assisting with bathing, showering and using the bathroom.  Not all Support Worker roles include high levels of personal care.
