These roles are personally assisting somebody to achieve their goals, gain independence and/or manage their daily lives; These will be self-funded by the family or person, or they may receive a Direct payment from Cornwall council. *
Location: Bodmin
Lady seeks a personal assistant with a sense of humour, to support her in the community. She is a writer, loves books and is part of a community choir. Having previously run a creative business, she still enjoys arts and crafts, and promoting creativity for wellbeing. She volunteers with things like creative writing workshops online and supporting local kids book festivals. She is a wheelchair user with MS, and has a dog.
Support:
· Access to community – going for walks, to cafes, and activities
· Support going to appointments – these could be in Truro, Plymouth, etc.
Hourly rate of pay: £14.72
Hours: Up to 26 hours a month
Working schedule: Times and hours can be negotiable and flexible – to be discussed during interview.
Essential:
· Current and valid DBS check
· Driving licence
· Must be 25+ to drive motability vehicle
· Public Liability Insurance
· Someone who is creative, likes being outdoors, and is a confident driver
