Job Opportunity: Employed/Self-Employed Personal Assistant (x2 positions)
Please Note: This role is a private arrangement with a person or family seeking support. You will not be employed by Humans Cornwall but will work directly with the individual or their family. The role is funded privately by the family/person or via a Direct Payment from Cornwall Council.
📍 Location: Bodmin/Wadebridge
💷 Hourly Rate: £12.60/£15.84
⏳ Hours per Week: 8:30- 3:30 pm on weekdays. It may vary on Saturdays.
📅 Schedules:
· Position 1: 2 days a week + occasional weekend cover
· Position 2: Alternate Saturdays + flexibility to cover when needed
A creative and active gentleman in the Bodmin/Wadebridge area is looking for two compassionate and reliable Personal Assistants to support him in his day-to-day activities. He enjoys playing and watching sports, attending local community groups. As a full-time wheelchair user, he requires assistance with hoist transfers and personal care.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Supporting access to community activities and groups
✔ Meal preparation
✔ Providing personal care
✔ Hoist transfers
Essential Requirements:
🔹 Trustworthy, patient, and caring nature
🔹 Eligibility to work in the UK
🔹 Valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
🔹 Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
