You will not be employed by or carry out work for Humans Cornwall; we have a dedicated team to help identify private personal assistants for care and support. These roles are personally assisting somebody to achieve their goals, gain independence and/or manage their daily lives; These will be self-funded by the family or person, or they may receive a Direct payment from Cornwall council. *
Location: Hartland (near Bude)
Lady seeks a personal assistant to support with domestics and general support. She has high functioning autism as well as multiple physical & mental illnesses, such as M.E, spinal arthritis, degenerative disk disorder, stenosis, sciatica and severe dust mite and chemical allergies which make it difficult for her to clean. She would also like to give her partner, who is her full-time carer, some respite.
Support required:
• Meal preparation
• Tasks such as running baths, filling hot water bottles, ensuring the fireplace is lit
• Picking up prescriptions and any other shopping needed
• Filing medical letters
• Calling to make appointments etc.
· Cleaning and maintaining tidiness in the home
Hourly rate of pay: £16.50
Hours per week: 10 hours
Working schedule: 2 – 3 times a week in the mornings
Essential:
· Driving Licence
· Must be self-employed
· Valid DBS
· Public Liability Insurance
