You will not be employed by or carry out work for Humans Cornwall; we have a dedicated team to help identify private personal assistants for care and support. These roles are personally assisting somebody to achieve their goals, gain independence and/or manage their daily lives; These will be self-funded by the family or person, or they may receive a Direct payment from Cornwall council. *

We’re looking for a friendly and caring personal assistant to support a young woman, who is passionate about Arts and Crafts. She is looking for someone who is patient, kind, and understanding to help her grow in confidence, both at home and out in the community. Your role will be to provide gentle support as she navigates social situations and gains independence with daily living and looking after her new born son.

Support required:

·        Helping with opening and organising post, reminders to pay bills

·        Gradual encouragement and support to participate in social activities and other opportunities outside the home

·        Helping with meal preparation, ensuring she keeps a healthy, nutritional diet for her and her son with gentle reminders, encouraging independence in preparing her own food.

Rate and support hours:

Hourly rate of pay: £14.72

Hours per week: 24 hours per week

Schedule: Support to be Monday – Friday. Recommended schedule of 10am – 2pm, however times can be flexible.
