You will not be employed by or carry out work for Humans Cornwall; we have a dedicated team to help identify private personal assistants for care and support. These roles are personally assisting somebody to achieve their goals, gain independence and/or manage their daily lives; These will be self-funded by the family or person, or they may receive a Direct payment from Cornwall council. *
Location: Illogan
A gentleman is in search of a personal assistant to provide assistance both at home and in the community. He enjoys outings for coffee and cake, indulging in his favorite shows like Dr. Who, Top Cat, and Star Trek. Additionally, he relishes holiday getaways. Living with autism and PTSD, he has a dedicated support staff available 24/7, including mornings, daytime, evenings, weekends, and waking nights. Flexibility in scheduling may be possible to accommodate specific availability.
Support required:
Cooking
Cleaning
Access to the community – using client’s vehicle
Part-time hours with potential to increase to full time contracted hours
Hourly rate of pay: £15.51 – £17.06 plus on-call pay
Essential:
Valid DBS – paid for by the client
Driving licence
Must be willing to work some weekend shifts
PBS Training preferred
Desirable:
Experience supporting people with autism
Training will be provided
Good flexibility
