You will not be employed by or carry out work for Humans Cornwall; we have a dedicated team to help identify private personal assistants for care and support. These roles are personally assisting somebody to achieve their goals, gain independence and/or manage their daily lives; These will be self-funded by the family or person, or they may receive a Direct payment from Cornwall council. *
Location: Looe
A young gentleman in the Looe area seeks support twice weekly to develop confidence within his local community. Your role will be to arrange and plan activities that would help develop his confidence with other people and his knowledge of finances, aiding his development with his independence. He is a big football fan, has a wide range of music taste, from the 60s, all the way up to current day music. He has recently sparked a passion for darts and is currently teaching himself how to play.
Support required:
· Support to access the community
· Confidence building
· Assisting with financial independence
· Encouraging independence with tasks wherever possible
Rate and support hours:
Hourly rate of pay: £14.72
Hours per week: 5 hours per week
Schedule: Support ideally to be split between Mondays and Fridays. Times to be negotiated with the family for the successful candidate.
Essential criteria:
· Caring, honest, trustworthy nature
· Eligibility to work in the UK
. Public Liability Insurance
. Valid DBS Check
. Valid Driving License and access to your own car
. Non-Smoker preferred
