You will not be employed by or carry out work for Humans Cornwall; we have a dedicated team to help identify private personal assistants for care and support. These roles are personally assisting somebody to achieve their goals, gain independence and/or manage their daily lives; These will be self-funded by the family or person, or they may receive a Direct payment from Cornwall council. *
Location: Lostwithiel
A lovely gentleman in the area of Lostwithiel who is passionate about football and sports, and loves to have a chat about the local area, seeks support from a Personal Assistant. A local applicant would be preferred. The right candidate needs to be kind, compassionate, and willing to have chats and discussions with this gentleman, making him drinks as and when needed, and providing some much-needed company whilst his wife has some respite.
Support required:
· Support to provide respite for this gentleman’s wife
· Make drinks as and when needed
· companionship
Rate and support hours:
Hourly rate of pay: £18
Hours per week: 2-3 hours a week or fortnightly. To be negotiated. Potential increase in hours for the right person.
Schedule: 2-3 hours a week/fortnightly ideally on a Wednesday, to be negotiated.
Essential criteria:
· Caring, honest, trustworthy nature
· Eligibility to work in the UK
. Public Liability Insurance
. Valid DBS Check
. Must be registered with HMRC.
