You will not be employed by or carry out work for Humans Cornwall; we have a dedicated team to help identify private personal assistants for care and support. These roles are personally assisting somebody to achieve their goals, gain independence and/or manage their daily lives; These will be self-funded by the family or person, or they may receive a Direct payment from Cornwall council. *

Location: Mullion

Female personal assistant required to assist a lady with a variety of tasks which will support her to live an independent personal and social lifestyle.

Support required:

·       Personal care

·       Domestic duties (keeping house clean, tidy, and dust free)

·       Laundry

·       Meal preparation

·       Bed changing

·       Assist with gardening

·       Support with making any appointments, emails, letters, and making phone calls

·       Taking lady to see family and friends

·       Walking small friendly family dog

·       Take swimming, shopping, and appointments

·       Any other reasonable duties that may be required

 

Hourly rate of pay: £12

Holiday pay and pension scheme available.

Hours per week: 10 hours per week with availability to cover sickness/holiday.

Working schedule: Some hours are needed over the weekends, and the rest will be used during the week. Days and times can be mutually agreed at the interview.

Essential:

·       Valid DBS

·       References required

·       Full UK driving licence, appropriate insurance and own car

·       Must have good communication skills

·       Be able to take and follow instruction and confident in asking if unsure

·       Reliability, honesty and confidentiality is paramount at all times

 

Desirable:

·       Qualification in health and social care

·       Food hygiene certificate

·       Manual handling certificate

·       First aid certificate

·       Computer literate

·       Some experience or knowledge of M.E and Fibromyalgia

 

Applicants must be prepared to undertake training where necessary. Costs will be met by employer.
