Job Opportunity: Self-Employed Personal Assistant
Please Note: This role is a private arrangement with a person or family seeking support. You will not be employed by Humans Cornwall but will work directly with the individual or their family. The role is funded privately by the family/person or via a Direct Payment from Cornwall Council.
Location: Penryn
A lady in the Penryn area is looking for a confident, fit, and sensitive Personal Assistant to support her with accessing the community, household domestic tasks, cooking, and administrative duties. She has been diagnosed with ME (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis), which affects her mobility and energy levels and fluctuates over time.
Support Responsibilities:
Assisting with accessing the community (e.g., swimming, seaside trips)
Supporting with household domestic tasks
Batch cooking meals
Helping with administrative tasks
Rate and Hours:
Hourly Rate: £14.72
Hours per Week: 12 hours
Schedule: Flexible between Tuesday and Friday (to be discussed at the interview)
Essential Criteria:
Good time management and organisational skills
Eligibility to work in the UK
Public Liability Insurance (if self-employed)
Valid DBS Check
Full UK Driving Licence and access to your own car
Female preferred
Previous experience in care preferred
