You will not be employed by or carry out work for Humans Cornwall; we have a dedicated team to help identify private personal assistants for care and support. These roles are personally assisting somebody to achieve their goals, gain independence and/or manage their daily lives; These will be self-funded by the family or person, or they may receive a Direct payment from Cornwall council. *
Location: Penzance
A lovely Lady, who enjoys swimming, short dog walks, and music, seeks a patient and proactive personal assistant to support and motivate her in daily tasks. She has Aphasia, communication and some cognitive issues following a traumatic brain injury. This role would suit a more mature, patient and experienced person with empathy and compassion, and a great sense of humour. The role is part of a team who offer 24/7 care, including sleeping nights. There are 2 positions available.
Support required:
– Companionship
– Personal care
– Meal preparation
– Support with maintaining the home
– Accessing community ie: swimming, short walks, other activities as requested
Rate and support hours:
Hourly rate of pay: £14.72 per hour Daytime / £10.63 per hour for 9 hour sleep-ins
Hours per week: To be negotiated at the interview. More hours are available for the right candidate. Successful applicants will be required to cover at minimum 1 x 24-hour shift per week, including weekends
Schedule: To be agreed with the client but will need to be flexible. Minimum requirement of covering 1 x 24-hour shift per week, including weekends. The 24/7 care will be shared between a small team of PA’s.
