These roles are personally assisting somebody to achieve their goals, gain independence and/or manage their daily lives; These will be self-funded by the family or person, or they may receive a Direct payment from Cornwall council. *
Location: St Austell
We’re seeking a friendly, supportive, and understanding personal assistant to help a gentleman in the St Austell area. This role involves providing encouragement and practical support to help him access his local community, engage in activities, and maintain his mental health and overall wellbeing.
You’ll play a key role in helping him navigate social situations, build independence, and participate in meaningful daily activities. Your guidance will contribute to his personal growth and confidence as he gradually improves his independence and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
Support with accessing community activities and events.
Encourage participation in activities to enhance mental wellbeing.
Offer guidance during social interactions and daily routines.
Foster independence while providing reassurance and assistance.
What We’re Looking For:
A compassionate and patient individual with excellent communication skills.
Someone who is understanding, reliable, and eager to make a positive impact.
Experience in a support role or a caring profession is desirable but not essential.

Rate and support hours:
Hourly rate of pay: £14.72
Hours per week: 6 hours per week
Schedule: Support will need to be flexible, and open to negotiation at the interview stage for the right candidate.
Essential criteria:
· Caring, honest, trustworthy nature
· Compassion, patience and understanding
