These roles are personally assisting somebody to achieve their goals, gain independence and/or manage their daily lives; These will be self-funded by the family or person, or they may receive a Direct payment from Cornwall council. *
Location: St Austell
Gentleman with autism seeks a personal assistant to support him at home and engage in activities with.
Support required:
· Support with domestic duties – cleaning, laundry, bed-making
· Shopping
· Support and supervision
· Engaging in activities such as art, gardening, walking, gym, and swimming
Hourly rate of pay: £14.72
Hours per week: 6 hours per week + cover for other PA holidays and emergency cover
Working schedule: One day at 6 hours (potentially a Sunday) or split between several days after 5pm. Times and days can be flexible.
Essential:
· Must be self-employed
· Valid DBS
· Public Liability Insurance
· An encouraging, positive and proactive attitude
· Flexibility to cover other PAs at short notice
Desirable:
· Medication administration experience
· Knowledge or experience of working with people with autism
