* This role is a private arrangement with a person or family who is seeking support for someone else or themselves. You will not be employed by or carry out work for Humans Cornwall; we have a dedicated team to help identify private personal assistants for care and support. These roles are personally assisting somebody to achieve their goals, gain independence and/or manage their daily lives; These will be self-funded by the family or person, or they may receive a Direct payment from Cornwall council. *
Location: St Erth
A lovely young gentleman in the St Erth area. Your role will be to spend quality time with this gentleman, getting to know him and letting him get to know you. You will hopefully build up a relationship, and trust, which will then help this gentleman to go out into the community safely and provide companionship, encouragement, and assistance in building up his confidence. You will be there for emotional support when he is feeling overwhelmed in unknown situations and help him to learn/understand skills to be independent with his personal care, assisting when needed with this.
Support required:
· Building trust within your role over time
· Support to access the community once trust gained
· Support and prompting with personal care when needed
· Companionship
· Emotional support in overwhelming situations
Rate and support hours:
Hourly rate of pay: $14.72
Hours per week: 21 hours per week
Schedule: To be negotiated at the interview stage
Essential criteria:
· Caring, honest, trustworthy nature
· Eligibility to work in the UK
