About the role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Team Leader Care Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional support to residents in a care home setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for senior care, demonstrating strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and safety.

A typical day

There is no typical day at Wentworth, every day looks different and that’s what makes care such an interesting and for filling job. Each day you can guarantee to be providing aspects of personal care, getting involved in numerous activities and providing companionship.

Key Responsibilities

-Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
-Support residents in daily living activities such as meal preparation, feeding, and mobility.
-Maintain accurate care plans and documentation to ensure personalised care for each resident.
-Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to provide updates on resident well-being.
-Supervise and mentor junior staff members, fostering a supportive environment.
-Participate in team meetings to discuss resident needs and care strategies.
-Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the care environment at all times.
-Administrating medication.

Wentworth is a private residential care home with 20 bedrooms, offering care and support for adults aged 65 years and over. Wentworth residential care home is a family run business that has been trading since 1969.


Our care home provides a safe and homely environment for all residents offering a range of facilities. Our bedrooms are single with hand-wash basins in all, three rooms being en-suite.
