About the role
We are currently looking for full time Support Workers, 37.5 hours per week to join our growing teams in Camborne.
You’ll join our new team working in a supported living house in Camborne, helping people to learn new skills and live their lives in the way they choose.
You will be required to provide active support in all aspects of daily living; from cleaning, cooking and shopping to managing finances. In addition, you will support people at times with their personal care and medication.
You must be committed to supporting social inclusion and promote involvement in the local community through active support with health, leisure and social opportunities.

A typical day
Everyday is different and a can do approach is essential – we do not want you to sit on the sidelines – we need you to jump in and get involved.
A typical day may start anytime from 8am with prompting/supporting someone with their self care, helping to plan and make breakfast, supporting the administration of medication before making plans for the day.
Your day may involve accessing the community for work opportunities, accessing the supermarket, completing tasks of daily living or accessing the local community for social and leisure opportunities.
Throughout your day you will be empowering the person you are supporting to make choices and lead a life that makes sense to them within a risk managed framework. We believe in the dignity of risk and supporting individuals to learn and develop in their local communities.
You will need to advocate for the people you support to ensure they always have a voice.
You will need to record what you have done to ensure a seamless delivery of care and support.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll need to demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills and a positive, outgoing ‘can-do’ approach.
You must share our values and be respectful of people’s differences, you must be committed to helping others develop and grow whilst supporting your team.
