What you’ll do:



Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the home

A typical day in our care home involves keeping both residents’ rooms and communal areas clean, safe, and welcoming. Your tasks may include:

Cleaning bedrooms and communal areas to maintain a hygienic and comfortable environment

Vacuuming, dusting, and polishing surfaces regularly

Carpet shampooing where and when required

Stock checking cleaning supplies and notifying management when items are running low

Reporting health and safety concerns promptly to senior staff

Completing documentation to ensure cleaning tasks and safety checks are properly recorded

You’ll play a vital role in creating a home where residents feel safe, comfortable, and cared for every day.

Key Responsibilities – Cleaner

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all areas of the care home, including residents’ rooms, communal areas, kitchens, bathrooms, and offices.

Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and supplies in line with safety regulations.

Follow infection control procedures to support a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Report any maintenance issues, hazards, or concerns to the supervisor promptly.

Support the team by assisting with laundry or other domestic duties as needed.

Respect residents’ privacy, dignity, and personal belongings while performing cleaning tasks.

Contribute to a welcoming, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
