Why join us?
We are proud to be a friendly, supportive company with approachable management and a culture that genuinely values its people. You will be joining a team where you are encouraged, listened to, and supported to develop at your own pace.
We believe in trying things out - if you’re unsure whether this is the right role for you, we offer trial shifts so you can experience the job and the team before making a decision.
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds. While a driving licence and access to a vehicle is preferred, all applications will be considered fairly and individually.
Full-time, part-time, flexible hours, and weekend opportunities are all available - because we believe work should fit around life, not the other way around.
No previous experience is needed. Full training, support, and qualifications are provided. What matters most to us is your attitude, compassion, and willingness to learn.
At Riverside, we don’t just support the people who use our service - we support our team too. We believe in looking after each other, growing together, and building something meaningful as a collective.
If you’ve ever wanted a job where you can truly make a difference, feel valued, and be part of something that matters - this is your sign.
We can’t wait to meet you.
What we offer our staff
A typical day
No two days at Riverside are ever the same – and that’s exactly what makes the role so rewarding. Each day is shaped by the people you are supporting, their goals, their routines, and what matters most to them.
A typical day might begin with planning your visits and checking in with the team to ensure everyone feels supported and prepared. From there, your day could take you into the community or into someone’s home, where you provide tailored 1:1 support based on individual needs and support plans.
You might spend time:
Supporting someone to attend appointments or community activities
Offering emotional support and meaningful conversation
Helping with budgeting, bills, or organising daily life
Encouraging confidence and independence in everyday tasks
Supporting wellbeing through companionship and reassurance
Assisting with meal preparation or light household support
Simply being a consistent, trusted presence in someone’s day
Some days will be busy and active, out in the community building independence and confidence. Other days may be quieter, focused on emotional support, reassurance, and building trust through conversation and connection.
Throughout your day, you will stay connected with your team, sharing updates and working collaboratively to ensure consistent, high-quality support.
What makes each day special is the relationships you build – the small moments, the progress people make, and the difference your presence can have in someone’s life.
At Riverside, every day is different, but every day matters.
About Riverside Support Service Ltd
We are proud to provide a service that does not include personal care, allowing our team to focus on meaningful engagement, emotional wellbeing, daily living support, and helping people build confidence, skills, and independence in ways that are right for them.
Our approach is rooted in genuine relationships and consistency. We take time to understand each person’s story, strengths, and aspirations, and we create support in a way that reflects who they are and what matters most to them.
We work in partnership with families, advocates, and other healthcare professionals to ensure support is joined up, thoughtful, and holistic -always keeping the individual at the centre of every decision.
At Riverside, we are also passionate about developing our team. We encourage learning, progression, and leadership at every level, creating opportunities for staff to grow into confident practitioners and future leaders who carry forward “The Riverside Way” of compassionate, respectful, and empowering support.
Above all, Riverside is about connection, dignity, and possibility - supporting people to live life on their own terms, while being surrounded by a team who truly care.
