A typical day

Once activity planners are completed for the residents, you will organise your week in mind of the residents activity plans you planned with them.
We have a minibus for trips out to local interest or visiting their friends and families.
Encourage independence of daily living skills, cooking, tidying their rooms, shopping etc.
Record keeping.
Planning for special events, decorating residents rooms or communal area for special occasions such as birthday parties etc.

Be creative with our residents, create new experiences for them or recreate old ones they cherished….

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, organise, and deliver a varied programme of activities tailored to residents’ interests, abilities, and needs.
Encourage residents to participate in social, physical, and recreational activities.
Arrange special events, celebrations, and outings where appropriate.
Work closely with residents, families, and staff to ensure activities are meaningful and enjoyable.
Support residents’ emotional and mental wellbeing through one-to-one and group activities.
Maintain activity records and contribute ideas to continually improve the activities programme.
Create a warm, inclusive, and stimulating environment for all residents.

Beech Lawn Nursing Home is located in the heart of Liskeard, walking distance to the historic town. Beech Lawn is a family run nursing home of 42 residents. We champion quality care and have opportunities to welcome motivated and compassionate people to join our dedicated team in supporting our residents to live a good quality of life. We specialise in palliative care and other acute nursing care. Beech Lawn is a forward thinking company and we pride ourselves on working together as a team and really value the hard work and commitment of all our staff.
We are looking for individuals who have –

· Knowledge of infection Control – desirable not essential as training will be given.
