About the role

The individuals we support have complex care needs, and we seek to empower them to live as independently as possible at home and in the community. We are searching for a Care Manager to work alongside the management team to ensure the smooth opening of our new and exciting supported living home in St Dennis.



The Care manager will deliver all aspects of the day-to-day running of the homes, providing leadership to the care team in promoting person-centred care within 5 self contained homes they consist of 1 bungalow and 4 apartments with 3 services users on a 2/1 basis and 2 services users on a 1/1 basis.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities and Duties of the Job:

Role Specific Duties:

Ensure people supported are at the heart of the care delivery and their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing
To ensure that all staff contribute to the efficient running of the services and to ensure all staff are regularly supervised
To organise and co-ordinate care delivery in accordance with current best practices, according to policy and procedures, agreed standards, legislative requirements, and relevant regulations under the direction of the Manager and delivered within the financial plan
Ensure that the care service is delivered to people supported at the times and for the duration specified in the relevant individual agreement(s) and contract standards
Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals they support
Working with Others:

Develop effective working relationships with other employees within Karrek Community
Work in cooperation with members of the multi-disciplinary teams to maximise opportunities for people supported
Maintain appropriate relationships with family members as required
Leading by Example:

Seek opportunities for personal and professional growth
Personal Responsibilities:

Attend statutory training and any other training as directed by the management
Additional Requirements:

You may be required to manage the on call on a rotating basis.

Karrek Community (supporting adults with learning disabilities, mental health concerns, and brain injury)
