Here is everything you need to know:

Who is eligible?

This course is designed for Adult Social Care managers and staff who are involved in service or business improvement who want practical, ethical ways to use AI and agile methods to reduce admin, improve efficiency, and lead meaningful service improvements without needing technical expertise.

 

Why this programme?

This supportive, down-to-earth training programme will give you the confidence and tools to use Agile and AI to address challenges, improve efficiency and explore new opportunities.

Across five weeks, you’ll work on a real transformation project of your choice. We’ll show you how to use simple, free AI tools to lighten your admin workload, support communication, help you plan and deliver change, all with a strong focus on ethics, safety and dignity. No previous technical knowledge is required.

You’ll also learn agile improvement approaches to help you manage projects and change more effectively. Step by step, you’ll plan, test and deliver a small “minimum viable improvement” that makes a real difference to staff, those you care for, or service delivery.

 

You will learn to:

  • Understand what AI is in the context of Adult Social Care
  • Explore safe, ethical and legally compliant ways to use AI in your day-to-day managerial work
  • Use simple AI tools to save time on tasks like writing, planning, summarising, and generating ideas
  • Apply agile methods to manage change and implement improvements
  • Plan and deliver a real project that matters to your service
  • Reflect on impact, overcome barriers, and embed continuous improvement

Course Details

Dates: The course will run on the following mornings and will be mainly in-person with one online session:

  • Wednesday 21st January
  • Wednesday 28th January
  • Wednesday 4th February
  • Wednesday 11th February
  • Wednesday 25th February

Location: All In-person sessions will be held at FibreHub, Trevenson Road, Pool, TR15 3GF

Cost: Fully Funded

Places: 10

All course attendees will be required to attend all 5 sessions and complete all project work.
