At Torvia, learning doesn't stop after induction. We believe confident, knowledgeable staff provide better care, so we invest in ongoing training and development throughout your time with us.
What you can expect
🎓 Comprehensive induction & Care Certificate
New to care? That's absolutely fine. We'll support you through your induction and the Care Certificate standards, helping you build the knowledge, skills and confidence you need to get started.
💻 Flexible online learning
Access to a wide range of online training that can be completed flexibly, with regular refresher training to keep your knowledge current.
👩🏫 Face-to-face training
Not everything can be learnt from a screen. We combine online learning with practical, face-to-face training where appropriate.
💊 Practical competency assessments
For areas such as medication, we don't believe completing an online course is enough. Training is supported by practical competency assessments so that you feel confident applying what you've learnt in real situations.
🧠 Specialist training
As your role develops, there may be opportunities to undertake additional training relevant to the people you support, including areas such as dementia, learning disabilities and autism, mental health, end-of-life care and other specialist needs.
📚 Recognised qualifications & career development
We want people to be able to build a career with Torvia. Where appropriate, we'll support opportunities to work towards recognised adult social care qualifications and develop the skills needed to progress into more senior roles.
