Working in supporting roles

In many cases your employer will offer training and learning opportunities to specialise in your chosen area. This could be through apprenticeships or other qualifications.

You may need certain skills or experience depending on your chosen career, particularly English and Maths. However, this will be different for each role and each employer so read the job adverts carefully to see what is most suitable for you. You will also need to show that you have the key values and behaviours to work in social care.
