Fin's nomination for Registered Manager of the Year 2025
“Finlee is the best manager ever! And I tell him all the time lol. I have worked in the community and in different care homes and Fin is better than any other manager I’ve had. When I joined the team, I left a deputy role where I was bullied. Years on I still suffer from the trauma. Fin is very supportive and always ensures I am ok. Fin also has a background in teaching and everyday he is teaching me new things to help my development and challenges me to try new things.
He is very knowledgeable around care and always has the answer. He is always available to the team 24/7 and values every member of staff. He goes above and beyond to support the staff in any way he can with personal requests and treats us like a family. His ethos is to ensure the best end of life care. For our residents and families. We open our doors 24/7 to families during the final days, feeding and accommodating loved ones. Something Fin has always been very passionate about. He says at that time we extend our care to the family.
CQC and ASC think very highly of him and we often receive amazing feedback, but FR will always credit the team for the recognition, never accepting that it’s his leadership that got us to succeed. He often says he is the least important member of staff. I feel it is about time that FR is recognised for the shining star he is! He trained as an actor in musical theatre and came into care work by caring for his mum. Stepping away from the limelight completely to pursue a career in care, this sector doesn’t realise how fortunate they are to have him. FR is the best!”
