“Claire began her career in care as a volunteer at Old Roselyon Manor nursing home providing extra support during meal times. She very soon became a valued asset and was offered a role as a fully employed Health Care Assistant, a role in which she flourished. She is also a full time carer to her brother, Tim, who has Down syndrome. She took on full responsibility for Tim when both their parents passed away . Claire’s husband has also suffered poor health recently so she is also caring for Andrew . Claire works tirelessly and never complains and always so cheerful . She really is a hidden treasure and thoroughly deserves to be nominated for this award.”
