About the role
The shifts available are on a 2 week rolling rota so all staff can have a good work / life balance, making it easier for individuals to make homelife plans in advance and removing the stress of never knowing what shifts they may be scheduled for.
Week one shifts are: Monday Night and Sunday Night.
Week two shifts are: Wednesday Night and Sunday Night.
Additional shifts are available to pick up to cover holidays also, if this is something else of interest, but not essential.
Night shifts mainly consist of:
- Assisting residents to bed.
- Light domestic duties.
- Checking residents throughout the night.
- Meeting resident's needs according to their care plans, and working in line with the company policies and procedures.
- Full paid induction will be given, including paid shadow shifts (we do like new staff to complete at least 3 paid shadow shifts following their induction but continue the shadow shifts until the new staff member feels comfortable and confident in their duties.)
- Paid training (courses and time).

What we offer our staff
A typical day
Night shifts start at 8pm and fish at 8am. There is one waking night and one person who works until midnight and is then on call / sleeping in the building until 6am but available in the case of emergencies. The home is not call bell heavy and a night mainly consists of assisting a few people to bed, doing welfare checks, completing some light domestic duties and then assisting those who wish to get up when they wake in the morning. Are home uses an simple digital care management system to log care notes and document medications, most of which are in pre-prepared blister packs. There is always a senior carer on call as well as a manager should there be any questions or additional support is needed while of shift.
