About the role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our friendly and professional team at our nursing home. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care to our residents.
Requirements:
Current registration with NMC as a Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A caring, compassionate, and professional approach.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Previous experience in a nursing home or elderly care setting is desirable but not essential.
What we offer our staff
A typical day
Days -; There are 2 other nurses on duty plus the Clinical Lead providing support and guidance.
The Clinical Lead attends the handover. Each nurse is assigned to a wing. Team leader (s) oversee and coordinates the health care assistants and liaise with the nurses on duty.
After medication round, once a week, the GP ward round.
Tasks in the diary must be actioned.
Care plans and risk assessment reviews if due.
Medication management/ order and checked.
Dressings and update health issues
PEG/PEGJ management
Lead HCAs assigned to your wing
update handover.
Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Provide and oversee the delivery of safe and effective nursing care.
Administer medications and treatments in accordance with clinical guidelines.
Monitor residents; health and wellbeing, responding appropriately to any changes in their condition.
Develop and maintain individualised care plans.
Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records.
Support and mentor care staff to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained.
