About the role

We are currently looking for Support Workers to join our team at Cornwall Healthcare Services.<

We have a variety of day and night shifts available, with relief, part-time, and full-time roles to suit different availability.

If you are caring, reliable, and enjoy supporting people to live independently in their own homes and communities, we would love to hear from you.

The role may include:

💗 Providing personalised care

🧡 Supporting independence with daily tasks

💗 Helping people take part in community activities

🧡 Providing companionship and emotional support

Our day often starts by checking in with the people we support, helping with morning routines, and ensuring everyone is comfortable and ready for the day ahead.
Throughout the day, we support with:

✔️ Preparing meals together
✔️ Attending appointments
✔️ Getting out into the community
✔️ Encouraging independence and choice
But most importantly, it’s about building relationships, having meaningful conversations, and supporting people to live the life they choose 🌿
From activities like swimming and community groups to quiet moments at home, every day is about making a positive difference.

Key Responsibilities

At CHCS, our support workers play a vital role in delivering safe, compassionate, and person-centred care every day 💙Key responsibilities include:
✔️ Supporting with personal care and daily living tasks
✔️ Promoting independence, choice, and dignity
✔️ Assisting with medication in line with care plans
✔️ Supporting access to the community and activities
✔️ Monitoring wellbeing and reporting any concerns
✔️ Maintaining accurate care records (e.g. Birdie)
✔️ Working closely with families and professionals
