Salary: £23,048 pa, (£12.63 per hour), mileage 45p per mile and paid travel-time. Guaranteed permanent weekly hours.

A typical day
Your job will be to maintain accurate and factual records as a legal requirement in order to evidence and communicate actions and outcomes effectively to others, maintaining safe working practices as a lone worker or doubled handed working, to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of service users, self and others. Monitoring the health, wellbeing and progress of service users and report any concerns/changes back to management in order to protect and safeguard vulnerable adults.
You will ensure a positive and flexible approach to the variety of tasks within the role, including supporting service users with their daily living skills, personal care, meal preparation, medication support and exercises. Working with families, healthcare professionals and occupational therapists and supporting service users to access community opportunities. You will operate in accordance with the diverse needs of the community to ensure equal access to services and be responsible for your continuous development and to undertake relevant training as required.
Key Responsibilities
The role of the Support Worker is critical to the success of an individual in meeting their agreed outcomes. This will involve working with other professionals, team members, or working alone to carry out the care/reablement plan with the individual, promoting flexibility, dignity, respect, wellbeing, confidence and independence, so that the person has the best quality of life.
You will offer safe and appropriate support to each individual in a person-centred way, complying with and maintain best practice in relation to Health & safety matters, which will include basic risk assessments and the prevention and control of infection. Using an innovative approach to positively support customers to achieve as much independence as they are able to.
