This is a permanent role working 8 hours per week to suit you. We are offering you an hourly rate of £13.01.
As Assistant Project Coordinator your role will have a positive impact on young people with sensory loss / impairments and additional complex needs. This is a rewarding opportunity where your skills and knowledge will enhance a regular programme of activities for young people.
Your creativity and innovativeness will significantly contribute to the enjoyment of activities, providing opportunities to reach goals and aspirations. The role will provide a unique opportunity to gain knowledge and skills in SEN support through on going and specialist Sense training. In reporting to the project coordinator your ideas and input well be both encouraged and welcomed, recognising the importance of service improvement.

A typical day
The ‘Get Out There’ Clubs provides valuable support for children and young people who still live at home with their families. We work to promote communication skills, life skills, mobility, and access to the community. This will include assisting participation in various activities such as bowling, horse riding, sailing, surfing, swimming, creative arts and local theme parks.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting the project coordinator in sourcing activities that will benefit the young people and their peers. This will include liaising with both new and established partnerships.
Working with families, your sensitive and empathetic approach will be fundamental to promoting the value of Sense’s short breaks services.
Involvement in the recruitment and support of a team of volunteers, vital to successful delivery of the project.
Administrative skills to ensure compliance through both Sense and local policy and procedure. (These include the Cornwall Council one vision partnership plan.)
