A young man in the Helston area is looking for some support 2 days a week in order for him to attend an outdoor day centre. The client is on the Autism Spectrum, has Pathological Demand Avoidance, selective mutism, dyspraxia and dyslexia as well as high levels of anxiety.
The client has a variety of interests such as history (particularly WW2) and politics. He is currently attending a day centre which involves a variety of outdoor activities such as gardening and animal care. As you would be required to attend with the client, someone with a hands on approach would be well suited. The successful applicant will have a calm and patient attitude, and be willing to facilitate the clients attendance at the centre. Someone with experience of ASD would be preferred, as well as someone with a great deal of empathy and patience.
