About the role

Do you love making a meaningful difference to someone’s everyday life? Are you happiest when you’re out and about, enjoying coffee shops, local towns, and relaxed daily routines? Join us in supporting a gentleman in Liskeard.

We’re looking for a compassionate and reliable Support Worker to join our team and provide one-to-one support for a friendly gentleman living independently with his cat in Liskeard. He is living with a walking ABI and experiences some behavioural challenges, so we’re seeking someone patient, calm, and confident in providing consistent, person-centred support. Every shift is a chance to bring positivity, stability, and confidence to his day.

He enjoys daily trips out in the car to local coffee shops, browsing around Liskeard town, and maintaining a routine that helps him feel settled and supported.

Shift Details:

Day shifts: 09:00 to 19:00

Due to general occupational needs, we require a male for this position. We also require a driver, as daily outings are an important part of his routine.

This position is offered on a zero-hours contract as care packages can change.

About Active Care Group

At Active Care in the Home, we’ve spent over 25 years providing top-quality care in people’s homes, and we’re looking for passionate people to join our team!

This isn’t domiciliary care. You’ll work 1:1 with one client, delivering full, consistent shifts in their home—no rushing between visits.

But working with us is about more than health care—you’ll have the chance to support the whole person, including their social and emotional wellbeing.

We support adults, children and young people with a wide range of conditions, from brain or spinal injuries to neurological or digestive needs, including PEG feeding.

From day one, you’ll be valued, supported, and empowered to help people live independently, reach their goals, and enjoy life!
