Main Responsibilities
The role of a Care Assistant at Fairholme Nursing Home would involve, but is not limited to:
Providing personal care duties
Manual handling, using equipment where required
Promoting customer health and well-being, enabling them to live their life to the full
Flexibly work a range of shift patterns including alternate weekends
Assisting people with their meals where necessary
Helping our on site Registered Nurses provide care and wound management.
Ensuring the highest standards for End of life care are met
Everything we do is in the best interest of our Residents and we endeavour ensure they live happy and with the upmost dignity and respect.
Experience would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided for the right applicants.
We are looking to hire 2 applicants for this position. We have a full-time contract available and a Bank hours contract available. This is for day shifts only, but you may be asked to cover the occasional night if needed, where you can. Our hours are 7am to 9pm, but shorter shifts are available, which cover 7am to 2pm or 2pm to 9pm.
The shifts will be assigned for you and rotas are published 4 weeks in advance. Where possible we do try to accommodate people's preferred hours, but we don't contract shifts or set days, so this may not always be possible. These positions also cover you working alternate weekends, so please don't apply if you can not work these hours.
