About the role

Bluebird Care Mid & West Cornwall provides care at home across Mid and West Cornwall, helping people stay safe, well and independent in the place they love most. We are rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission, and our Support Workers deliver everything from short visits and companionship through to live-in care and complex health needs.
We are looking for a Team Manager to join us at the heart of our care team. This is a varied role, split between the community and our Truro office. You will report to the Area Manager.
You will:
• Cover care shifts on the rota, delivering safe, person-centred care
• Lead, supervise and mentor a team of Support Workers
• Carry out supervisions, spot checks, observations and performance reviews
• Help with assessments, care plan reviews and risk assessments
• Audit care records, medication charts and care notes
• Respond to concerns and incidents promptly and openly
• Make sure we meet CQC regulations and our own high standards
• Build good relationships with customers, families and other professionals
• Take part in the shared on-call rota
Good care depends on good leadership, and the best leaders know the work first-hand. Because you will still be with customers yourself, your guidance will be practical, your feedback fair and your support real.

We are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role It would be great if you also have supervisory experience, an understanding of homecare and live-in care, and experience of care plan reviews, risk assessments or auditing records.
