The PA Collective connects people in Cornwall with meaningful, flexible work that empowers others to live with choice, control, and dignity. We’re building a movement where people support people — creating a local network of Personal Assistants (PAs) who make a real difference in everyday lives.

We believe work should fit your life, not the other way around. Whether you’re looking for stability, flexibility, or a combination of both, there’s a place for you in The PA Collective.
Our opportunities include:
* Permanent roles – for consistency and long-term relationships
* Bank work – for flexible, ad hoc shifts (day, night, or weekends)
* Self-employed PA registration – join our network once you’ve completed our simple vetting process
* Paid employment with full support – including training, DBS checks, onboarding, and workflow tools
* Personal Assistants registered with us also get early access to new opportunities before they’re advertised online.
🕊️ Bank Roles
Be there when it matters most.
Our bank PAs step in during key moments, from hospital discharges to sudden changes at home, offering timely, compassionate support that helps people stay independent.
This may include:
* Supporting someone to settle back home after hospital
* Providing companionship or respite for carers
* Helping with shopping, cleaning, or pet care
* Assisting with admin or appointments
Visits can range from one hour to overnight, perfect for people wanting to top up income on their own terms. There’s no pressure or obligation to take shifts; you choose what suits you.
🌻 Permanent Roles
Make a lasting difference.
Our permanent Personal Assistants work with individuals living with long-term health conditions or disabilities to live independently and fully.
Support can include:
* Assisting with education, work, or hobbies
* Helping to run a household
* Providing personal care (e.g. bathing, toileting)
Every role is tailored around the person’s needs, interests, and preferences — creating genuine, lasting connections. Roles range from just a few hours per week to full-time positions.
⚖️ Bank + Permanent Roles
The best of both worlds.
Combine a stable, ongoing role with the flexibility of occasional bank shifts. You’ll enjoy reliable income and the freedom to take on extra hours when it suits you.
This might look like:
* A regular role with someone you support each week
* Extra hours helping others during hospital discharge or holiday cover
* Building trusted relationships while keeping variety in your work
